Go for Real Estate Branding That Clings

By Agent Image / Updated July 14, 2016 / Published August 20, 2013 / 4 min read

There’s a lot of reason why real estate branding should be similar to the cling wrap. There’s actually a lot of good qualities in cling wrap that can be copied by real estate marketing companies. First of all, cling wraps stick. Real estate must establish branding techniques and strategies which will stick in their target audience’s minds. Don’t just throw money around on useless strategies because that will be a waste of your marketing budget.

There are other real estate marketing strategies that you can adapt to, in order to really have your brand stick in your customers’ minds. One strategy you can try is to become an advocate of something. Show the world that you are not just after it’s money, but rather that you are a contributing factor for society or the environment’s well being. Think there’s too much pollution in your suburb? Then go and organize an event which will promote either reduced usage of cars or empower people to use bicycles instead. These may not look much on the outside but it’s guaranteed to help in brand recall. Plus you really are helping out.

Another way is by creating events or activities that will foster camaraderie and socializing. The usual stuff that marketers do is organize a get-together for new and old residents, a mixer so to speak, where new neighbors get to become acquainted with older residents. Perhaps allocate some of your budget to pizza, burgers or refreshments at your event and it will definitely get people to talk about your brand or website. Don’t be surprised if you even tally huge traffic on your website.

The third and final idea that you may want to try is to go with the flow. This means following what’s popular. When the Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” became a huge hit, a lot of real estate marketers jumped on the bandwagon and created their own music video. It might sound silly but it’s free branding, plus there’s also the chance of your video going viral thus doubling or even tripling your chances of selling a property.

Try these ideas out or brainstorm creative ideas of your own and look at how your brand’s identity can begin to stick in your target audience’s consciousness.
