Humor – The Real Key to Creating Memorable Social Media Posts

Your social media content is one of the best ways to get the ball rolling in terms of marketing a product or a service. No matter how complex or confusing the product is, you can always bet on humor to make things lighter and easier.

One classic case of a humorous social media marketing post was recently seen in the digital promotion done by the James and Matthew and Company as commissioned by the E&A Credit Union. The goal of the promotion was to increase home loan transactions done with the former. Their marketing campaign was a witty and hilarious promotion involving a ‘zombie-proofed’ home.

The result was a spontaneous response with over hundreds of shares through various social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. We may never know if this particular marketing campaign was successful in its goal of increasing home loans, but what is certain is it clicked with social media users. This in turn helped in boosting the awareness about to campaign to new heights.

If you think about it, the ‘zombie-proofed home’ campaign wasn’t as funny as skits from Saturday Night Live. It was actually amusing and fun. That’s the factor and variable that lots of business related social media posts tend to neglect. To be successful with all your social media posts, go and look for something funny or even something entertaining and just find a way to relate it to your business. Grab a snippet from a webcomic and come up with a way to use it for your real estate business or something similar to that.
