Can Erasable Social Media Stick in Real Estate Marketing?

By Agent Image / Updated July 14, 2016 / Published February 13, 2014 / 3 min read

You have probably noticed the slow rise in the use of Snapchat by people around you and must be wondering what it’s all about and how is it any different from things like Facebook or Twitter. Snapchat is only one of many different types of ‘erasable media’ that’s poised to re-shape the Internet and Social Media in the near future.

Snapchat is categorized as a software application or app for smartphones. It’s a photo sharing site similar to Instagram with a key difference which makes it a fun app to use among teenagers and even adults. That feature is the self-deleting option for all photos. Now you can share private photos without having to worry about these things coming out or being leaked at another time.

Snapchat has become so popular that for a little while, it actually managed to surpass the number of users in Instagram. That’s in the United States alone. Other countries from other parts of the world have slowly shown a steady rise in Snapchat and other erasable media apps for fun and leisure.

To make it big you will always need to work with new things including technology and software. Real estate marketers who have braved the challenge of the unknown more often than not pave the way for new ideas. Just like the pioneers of old who journeyed into the wild west, the same thing can be said with erasable technology and applications. If you are still hesitant with trying out new ideas with Snapchat then you should remember that there will always be room for error and that will lead to something spectacular. For all we know you might have started a trend and gained higher incoming traffic for your website, as well as made several sales. If you feel like you won’t make anything out of the technology, you don’t have to feel dejected as you can always refocus and concentrate your energies on other social media outlets.

Agent Image will always be there for you wherever you are in your real estate marketing campaign. Regardless if you're taking baby steps or huge strides, know that our company will be there to support you every step of the way.
