New Twitter Changes That Real Estate Marketers Can Take Advantage of Now

By Agent Image / Updated August 14, 2024 / Published May 27, 2014 / 3 min read

The microblogging and famous social networking site Twitter recently revealed a new look and feel for their website. The changes made were not just focused on the public use of the social media sphere, but also for marketers to capitalize on advertising and brand enforcement. While some people might criticize the new changes for Twitter’s new page layouts, one cannot argue how much it can bring to the table in terms of marketing.

Here are some of the best ways Real Estate marketers can take advantage of the new layout and new user experience for Twitter. Just keep in mind, your marketing efforts can be twice as effective if a dash of extra creativity is added to the mix.

  1. A Prominent Header
Say goodbye to the Twitter of old as the new layout is twice as big and more prominent. Just like Facebook’s cover photo option, brands and real estate marketers can take advantage of this to help reinforce the imagery and the brand they are marketing. It’s also great to keep the visuals in a uniform order.
  2. Interesting Tweets Appear Longer
Ever encountered that moment where a good Twitter discussion gets ruined by the character limit on Twitter? The new layout and major changes for Twitter still have the 140 character rule, but the social media site can now make exceptions once in a while like when the topic or the tweet is relevant and trending. Take advantage of this by composing great and engaging tweets that can be shared and RT’ed by your followers and your followers’ followers.
  3. Better Sales with Twitter’s Photo Collage
Twitter has also begun encouraging the usage of their “photo collage”. This new function allows real estate marketers the chance to show more photos of the properties that they are selling. This allows marketers to present to their followers all the good selling points about their properties, like if the property has an indoor pool or something similar.
