3 Reasons Why Google+ is Better for Real Estate

By Agent Image / Updated July 22, 2016 / Published April 10, 2013 / 3 min read

Facebook has implemented numerous ways to monetize its platform that forces marketers to adjust their strategies to gain exposure from targeted followers. Some of these ad strategies make Facebook users tune out and this is something that you don't want for your real estate business. Google has come to understand the digital lifestyle and with Google+, you have a better way of finding and connecting with clients.

  1. Build a Community.
    • Google+ Communities may be similar to Facebook groups but it boasts of features such as Group Hang-Outs (similar to video conferencing), and shared Google Drive documents.
    • With Google+ Communities, you can find new people and add them to your “Circles”. Read more about Circles here.
    • It’s highly encouraged to start a community based on shared interests, not your real estate business, then from there, attend and even host online events in the future.
  2. Go Local.
    • If you haven’t already, claim your Google+ Local listing. This is another space in the web to get those positive reviews rolling in.
    • Paired with Google+ Business page and your Google Analytics, you’ll be able to keep track of your ROI.
  3. Claim your Content.
    • We’ve talked about AuthorRank and how it could change the future of SEO.
    • Start preparing for this big change and new ranking system.
    • Don’t forget to start coming up with great content that’s worth sharing.
  4. Everything Is In One Place.
    • Integration of Google’s mobile apps makes everything easily accessible and even fun to use.
    • This makes for a great user experience and who doesn’t want that?

What’s great about all this is that most of these features are indexed and searchable. At least one great way for potential clients to find you. While we know you won’t be leaving Facebook anytime soon, it’s great to know that there are other options to explore for your real estate business.
