Tech Tip: The Best Apps for Viewing NAR’s RPR Reports on the iPad
Real estate professionals are always on the go – meeting clients, securing listings, processing documents and running endless errands. Aside from owning an agent website as a resource for your clients and prospects, your business is made easy through NAR’s Realtors Property Resource (RPR) reports.
RPR is a real estate library that provides NAR’s REALTOR® members with a national database of accurate tax data, assessor, recorder, mortgage data, MLS content, foreclosure information, demographics, neighborhood data and more. The good thing about RPR is that it’s easy to produce a report for REALTOR® to give their clients, and even more convenient to carry them around and view on your iPad.
Some reader apps you can use to view RPR reports are:
- Good Reader
Popular media blog, Mashable has given good reviews about the Good Reader, which was the top selling non-Apple app for iPad in the US in 2010. This multi-support app makes it a good interface for an agent who is used to multitasking. Aside from archiving, organizing is also straightforward with this app as it allows you to rename, bookmark, and delete your files right from the iPad.
Presenting with the Good Reader is also made possible through the various tools like text boxes, sticky notes, lines, arrows and freehand drawings. While showing your RPR reports to a prospect, you can encircle important figures or highlight statistics to emphasize a point. - BookMan Pro
Considered as one of the fast eBook readers, BookMan Pro supports CBR/CBZ/RAR/ZIP archive files aside from PDF. You can easily connect to Feedbooks or Dropbox to download any pdf report or ebook archives. The app has a double-page browsing feature and large thumbnails for easier browsing. - iBooks
This app allows you to store and read the PDFs you have downloaded from the RPR. It also caches all the files it has previously loaded, allowing you to access your RPR report even without internet access. - Perfect Reader
Almost similar to iBooks, this app also loads and displays PDF files. It uses page-turning effects, almost like turning the page of a real book. It also has zooming and easy navigation functions for easier browsing. With a minimalistic interface, Perfect Reader uses a simple bookshelf for organizing your e-books, magazines and reports. You can even use your iTunes or WiFi transfer to transfer RPR reports from your laptop to your iPad.
From anywhere and everywhere, you can easily navigate the RPR, create a presentation and show it to your clients with a tap on the screen. Try one of the apps above and you’re good to go.
